How High is owned and operated by Bec Lindwall and James Broadbent. Bec and James
both compete on the NSW Eventing circuit with a team of horses from Intro to Advanced.
They live on a property near Braidwood in Southern NSW. Between riding and running
How High they are busy producing young stock with their Warmblood stallion (by Salute),
their Thoroughbred stallion (half brother to 3*** Eventer Highland Charm who was
sold to England), their Connemara Pony Stallion, and their Irish Sporthorse Stallion
Highland McGuire.

Amy Van Der Sanden
Amy is a young up and coming rider that has recently completed her first 2** competition, at such a young age she is sure to be one to look out for in the future. Amy recently rode Jimmy Diamond to further his schooling and has done a super job.
Claudia Graham
Claudia is one of Australia’s most consistent competitors. She has competed internationally and domestically and is not only one of the toughest riders around but she is also one of the nicest.
Claudia is also a fantastic instructor and we are very happy to have her on board.
Phil Pollen
Phil has come from England where he competed in eventing. Phil is a lovely rider and is enjoying competing in Australia. Like Emilie, Phil lives here with us at Talisman. Phil also rides all the horses, and as been breaking-in the youngsters, schooling outside horses and assisting with stud duties. Phil has also done track work so is great with taking the eventers out for their fitness. Phil is currently competing on Max and has also been riding Ringo and McGuire at competitions.
Bec Lindwall
Bec is married to James and jointly owns and runs the How High business and Talisman Sport Horses, while also working as a consultant in Canberra. Bec’s true passion is the horses and she tries to divide her time between all her commitments.
James Broadbent
James is married to Bec and also has an extremely hectic life and divides his time between How High, the horses and work as a consultant in Canberra. James is also the ultimate ‘handy man’ and manages to keep everything operating on the property. James also used to play in a band in Melbourne so is truely multitalented!
Sam Lyle

Sam is a great friend of Bec and James and we are very lucky to have him as our coach.
